CNC Sliding Head Machinist

We’re growing our team and looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Machinist who takes real pride in producing precision-engineered components to the highest standards.
You’ll be responsible for programming, setting and operating Citizen sliding head machines, manufacturing complex components to tight tolerances across a range of industries. This is a hands-on role where your skills, experience and attention to detail will have a direct impact on the quality of the work we deliver.
You’ll be joining a modern precision engineering business that invests in its people, equipment and processes. Working alongside a skilled and supportive team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement, solve technical challenges and help maintain the exceptional standards our customers expect.
What you’ll be doing
- Programming, setting and operating Citizen sliding head CNC machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections
- Editing and optimising programs to improve efficiency and cycle times
- Troubleshooting machining issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining quality standards and compliance with ISO 9001 procedures
